Column #239
American mah-jongg (2005 NMJL card). The 3rd China Majiang Championship and Forum was held last weekend in Beijing, China. The players were playing Chinese style, of course. Larry and David Unger of the NMJL were honored guests at the event.
The event was more than just a tournament. Mah-Jongg leaders from across the world met to discuss forming an international association and to organize the second World Championship.
It was decided to hold the next World Championship in 2007, in Beijing.
Larry took this photo of me at The Great Wall.
