October 29, The Year Of The Dog
Chinese Official Tournament Rules.
The
Fourth China Majiang Competition and Forum
was a big success. Held in Tianjin, China, October 20-23, 100 players from around the world enjoyed another exhilarating Olympic-style competition.
Column #290
I'm not the greatest player in the world, but I sure do enjoy participating in these tournaments. And the food was wonderful. I teamed with Stephane Parcollet of France, and Tina Christensen and Sune Korreman of Denmark. One of the people I played against was the #1 individual champion. He spoke a little English and was a nice guy. I'll get back to you with his name soon.
